Welcome to Recovery Options Associates. We are an outpatient treatment program, located in Lafayette Hill, just outside of Philadelphia, dedicated to providing individualized, caring treatment for people suffering from alcohol and drug problems.
At Recovery Options Associates we believe that there are many pathways to recovery. By applying recent scientific innovations to the treatment of addiction, we assist people in establishing lives that are not dependent on substance abuse or addiction.
Our program works by developing a plan tailored to meet your own goals and preferences. We find that large group sessions are not always conducive to effecting positive changes, and we work primarily with you as an individual. We are not limited to any one mode or ideology of treatment – we consider all varieties of intervention in helping you achieve your goals around substance use. Using both scientific research and over 20 years of clinical experience, we work with you in planning and carrying out your program.
Why Recovery Options Associates?
- Your care will be custom-tailored to your needs! We can help you select the ideal way to achieve your own recovery goals. You'll get the respect you deserve, as well as support for making important life changes.
- You will receive a full bio-psycho-social assessment. The results will help determine your personal recovery strategy.
- We treat addiction as a true bio-psycho-social disorder. Intervention is comprehensive, directed at all three levels: your physical being, your psychological makeup, and your social environment.
- The latest scientific developments in treatment and medication are available. Use of naltrexone and/or other anti-craving medication (coordinated with other assistance) can make a crucial difference in achieving and maintaining stability in your life.
- Your treatment is CONFIDENTIAL It is based exclusively on what is best for you, as agreed between you and your therapist. We want to work with you, not with your insurance company.
- You will be treated as an individual. Unlike other programs that emphasize large group treatment, our primary means of working with you is through individual therapy. We can arrange family therapy, group therapy or educational sessions as needed.
The "biopsychosocial approach" to treating patients with addictions is a four-step process:
Step One: Getting Started (is easy and confidential)
Your initial screening is brief and easy. You can complete it by phone. Call (215) 381-0455 to reach a member of our staff - or our 24-hour, 7-day voice mail. Either way, your message is entirely confidential.
Step Two: Assessment
To determine which treatment strategy will work best for you, a thorough physical and psychological evaluation will be conducted. In most cases, assessment will take place within 48 hours of your call, if not sooner.
Step Three: Detoxification
Most patients who require detoxification - to treat physical withdrawal - can be treated on an outpatient basis. We can coordinate this phase of treatment with your own doctor, or with our affiliated medical practitioners. In more serious instances, inpatient detox can be arranged. Your detoxification needs will be discussed with you at the time of your initial visit.
Step 4: Treatment
Once you are safely stabilized you will meet with a therapist for at least three months of individual outpatient therapy and case management. Group therapy and or educational sessions may be offered as indicated. Any healthcare and medication needs will be monitored by affiliated medical and nursing staff.
The combination and type of treatment is determined by YOU and your therapeutic team, based on clinical considerations.
